With there having been plentiful chatter that TNA will soon be announcing a new media rights deal for 2026, there's now somewhat of an update on where the Anthem promotion may land.

Previously, TNA President Carlos Silva has stated in various interviews - including with ourselves back in August - that the company is getting increasingly close to announcing that new media rights deal, with The CW and A&E two of the networks regularly rumoured to be in the frame. The CW airs NXT in the US, whilst A&E has long had ties with WWE thanks to shows like WWE LFG and Biography: WWE Legends.

The Takedown on SI has been told by "high-ranking television industry sources" that TNA's new deal will be announced by the end of the year, if not sooner. Interestingly, the outlet has also been told that AMC has emerged as a potential landing spot for TNA programming. While AMC has never aired professional wrestling before, the network is famed for being the home to heavy hitters such as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, and Preacher.

Currently, TNA airs on the Anthem-owned AXS TV and the TNA+ streaming service. Wrestlenomics noted in 2023 that AXS TV was in approximately 30 million homes in the US, and a move to AMC would see that number of homes effectively doubled. Of course, on top of that, a media rights deal with any company would represent a major increase in revenue for TNA due to the simple fact that the Anthem-owned TNA presently airs on the Anthem-owned AXS.

While we won't know the specifics until a deal is announced - be that with AMC, The CW, A&E, or A.N. Other - Carlos Silva has previously suggested that TNA would be hopeful of any new deal being worth up to $10 million. Likewise, there has been plenty of speculation that not only will TNA be looking to air more live programming, but that its weekly iMPACT show could potentially move from its current Thursday slot to go head-to-head with AEW programming.
