It sounds like Rey Fenix is going to be back out of action for at least another month.

The Lucha Brother has been on the shelf since dislocating his arm while teaming with Penta El Zero Miedo in their AEW World Tag Team Title defeat to Jurassic Express on the 5 January episode of Dynamite. Although Fenix had been advertised for this past weekend's AAA Rey de Reyes show, Rey appeared only in a non-wrestling capacity, introducing the returning Taya Valkyrie alongside Penta.

Fenix had previously hoped to be back in action by mid-February. In a Wrestling Observer Radio update, Dave Meltzer has stated that Rey is still a month away from being able to compete again.

AAA had advertised Fenix and Penta vs. Dragon Lee and Dralistico for Rey de Reyes. Instead, Penta ended up working Dralistico in a singles match. A post-bout angle saw Penta attacked and unmasked by a couple of mystery men while Fenix, unable to get physical due to his injury status, was restrained.

Fenix's Death Triangle stablemates Penta and PAC face Brody King and Malakai Black on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite.
