With last night's WWE Raw seeing Trish Stratus turn heel by attacking Becky Lynch, there's now an update on when fans can expect to see Stratus vs. Lynch take place.

As per Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is for Trish and Becky to face each other at this year's SummerSlam on 5 August.

Following the events of this week's Raw, many had presumed that this match may be pencilled in for WrestleMania Backlash at the turn of the month or possibly even in Saudi Arabia at King & Queen of the Ring on 27 May. Instead, this report notes how we won't get to see Stratus and Lynch do battle until four months down the line.

For those who missed it, the WWE Hall of Famer attacked the Man after the pair had lost the Women's Tag Team Titles last night. Earlier in the evening, Lita - who was the co-holder of the Women's Tag Team Championships with Becky - was attacked backstage by a mystery assailant. As a result, Trish served as a replacement for Lita as she and Lynch defended those belts against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. That bout would see Morgan roll up the Canadian to get the 1-2-3 as the Women's Tag Titles changed hands.

Trish had teamed with Lita and Becky Lynch to beat Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39 earlier this month, and that contest was Stratus' first in-ring outing since a loss to Charlotte Flair back at SummerSlam 2019.
