What's being proposed behind the scenes?

According to fresh reports from PWInsider sources within the company, WWE are hoping to start running proper live events on the road again by "late summer". What's more, Vince McMahon is taking things "day to day" to see if there are any chances of his group hosting shows outside the Performance Center and Full Fail facilities before then.

Right now, the plan is to get WWE up and running as a touring machine again by late-August, although some inside the promotion also think that'd be a bit premature.

WWE must consider the variables when it comes to state-by-state regulations. Other logistic concerns, like social distancing measures, consistent testing and the worry of a virus spike in certain areas must also be taken into consideration.

The last live event before this ongoing global pandemic fell on 9 March in Washington, DC. WWE's earliest scheduled house show is currently 1 September - that show would take place in South Africa, of all places, but nothing is certain quite yet.

It's interesting that WWE hasn't outright cancelled that one however. McMahon's hopes reportedly remain high that they'll be back before then.
