Update On When WWE's Angel Garza Will Return From Injury
When will Garza be back on TV?
News site Fightful has translated a YouTube video posted by recently-injured WWE star Angel Garza.
In the video, Garza explained that he "heard a small pop, like a balloon exploding" when trading strikes with Montez Ford in-ring at Clash Of Champions last weekend. Then, his leg "started to get really hot", the pain set in and Angel tagged out whilst telling partner Andrade, "I can't go anymore".
That's when WWE doctors hit the scene and started working on him.
Towards the end of the video, Angel said that reports he'd suffered torn tendons or a hip injury were wrong. He's actually torn his quad and expects to be out for another few weeks or so. His exact wording on that was that he'd miss anything "from a week to maybe 15 days" of action; that, presumably, was from the 1 October date of the YouTube vid, not Clash.
WWE's medical staff told Garza that he could've torn the muscle completely had he kept wrestling. That would've benched him for approximately "five or six months". At worst, he says it'll be three weeks before he's 100% again.
