Xia Li looked "okay" backstage after taking what looked like a rough shot to her ribs while wrestling Raquel Gonzalez on last night's WWE NXT.

This is according to Fightful Select, and will likely come as a relief to anyone who watched the NXT Women's Championship clash.

Undefeated in 2021, Li worked a competitive match with Gonzalez, who has now reigned as NXT Women's Champion for over 100 days. The duo fought to what may or may not have been the planned finish after Gonzalez came down on Li with a senton, after which officials checked on the challenger for a prolonged period of time.

Concern was in the air as Xia sold her ribs. Gonzalez backed off during this spell, while the announce team spoke on the potential "knockout blow". Eventually, though, Li got up, continued the match, and walked into Raquel's modified chokeslam signature for the finish.

There is currently no indication that Li suffered any kind of lasting injury during the bout, though the amount of time she spent lying on the mat before walking into Gonzalez's finisher gave the impression she was hurt. Here's hoping that this isn't the case.
