Vince McMahon Announces Big Angle For WWE Payback 2016
Vince McMahon to decide the fate of Raw.
Monday evening on Raw, Stephanie McMahon made her first appearance since WrestleMania, interrupting her brother, Shane, and confronting the interim boss of the show. She told her older brother that in six days at WWE Payback, Vince McMahon will be making a final decision as to who will run Raw in the long term - Shane or The Authority.
Shane McMahon returned to WWE television in February after a nine-year absence, challenging his father for control over Raw. Vince agreed - if Shane could defeat The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania.
The Undertaker won, but the next night on Raw, Vince agreed to let Shane run the show, simply to see how badly he'd fall on his face. Touting "great social media response" to Shane's first show, WWE brought him back the following week. He's been in charge of Raw ever since.
Rumors have been spreading as of late that feud between Shane and The Authority is going to carry the company through the spring and summer. It's very possible that the program will begin on Sunday with Vince's decision.
