Well, believe it or not, Vinny Mac has reportedly made some last-minute
creative changes ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin, McMahon has
had the SmackDown creative team completely rewrite tonight’s episode of
Smackers.

Previously, the announced segments for tonight’s
SmackDown Live were The O.C. vs. The New Day, Dolph Ziggler. Vs Finn Balor, and
a King’s Court spot where Jerry Lawler would interview Trish Stratus.

That King’s Court segment was expected to start the build
for Charlotte Flair vs. Stratus at WWE SummerSlam on August 11th, so it remains
to be seen whether those plans will remain in place for tonight.
As for Ziggler vs. Balor, the Irishman was recently
hospitalised with the stomach flu – meaning it could well be that the former Universal
Champion isn’t medically cleared to compete on SmackDown tonight.

For the whole O.C. vs. New Day match, that bout was intended
to showcase a whole load of gold after Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows captured the
WWE Raw Tag Team Championships on last night’s Raw. Of course, AJ Styles is
also the current US Champion, whilst SmackDown has Kofi Kingston as WWE
Champion and Big E and Xavier Woods are WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
How SmackDown ultimately turns out, we’ll have to wait and
see once the blue brand’s latest offering airs in just a matter of hours.
