Vince McMahon Rejects Charlotte's Request To Moonsault Off Hell In A Cell

Vince said no. Good call.

Sasha Banks and Charlotte are going to be the first women to ever compete in a Hell in a Cell match in a couple weeks, and you can expect there will likely be something big planned for it. After all, both competitors take a lot of pride in their work, they want to create something memorable and they seem to work extra aggressively in big matches.

But what Charlotte reportedly had in mind for the match went a step too far...or maybe 20 steps.

According to Top Rope Wrestling, she pitched the idea to Vince McMahon that she should do a Moonsault off the top of the cage! There's no further details, so we don't know what the context would have been. Perhaps Sasha would be on the announcers table like The Undertaker was at WrestleMania 32 when Shane McMahon tried to land on him. Maybe Charlotte would moonsault onto another object that just happened to be there (like when Rikishi was chokeslammed onto the back of a truck at Armageddon 2000).

Again, this is all just a rumor for now, but if true, that would be an absolutely insane request! Jumping from that height is, of course, incredibly dangerous, and is much more so when you can't see where you're landing. If either competitor was badly injured (or, you know, worse) that would create some incredibly negative publicity for WWE.

The Moonsault from Hell was simply nowhere near worth the risk, so if this is true, then Vince made the right call.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW.
