There's a lot of speculation doing the rounds that none other than Vince McMahon could make a surprise WWE return for John Cena's final match at the Saturday Night's Main Event special on 13 December. That's when Cena will wrestle his last match ever, and the rumour mill is going crazy with thoughts that disgraced ex-owner McMahon will be in the house.

Fightful Select recently ran a Q&A with wrestling fans, and that included word on Vince's potential cameo comeback. That return is currently unconfirmed, but the website did note that nothing should be completely ruled out on the night. In an interesting moment, Fightful said that WWE do "whatever they want now", so not much is off the table for SNME.

This would mark McMahon's first onscreen appearance since 2023, and it'd be the first time he'd have been in attendance for a WWE event since January 2024. Since then, the company has moved full steam ahead under Triple H's guidance, and TKO have shown a ruthlessness when it comes to business practices (like the price of tickets, Brock Lesnar's return to action etc).

Of course, Vince's name has been mud since legal work began following allegations levied against him and others for sexual misconduct and more by ex-WWE employee Janel Grant in early-2024. The company has gone on to edit McMahon out of various historical video packages when recapping things on television, and he hasn't been mentioned by name for a while.

It'd be shocking if Vince did make a comeback, even if it was just for one night to celebrate with real-life pal Cena, but sources won't rule it out at time of writing.
