Vince McMahon Shot Down THIS WWE Tag-Team Name

Ex-WWE boss Vince McMahon had a baffling reason for saying no to this tag-team suggestion.

Brian Kendrick Paul London

Former WWE boss Vince McMahon turned down pitches to rename Brian Kendrick and Paul London "The Hooliganz" years ago.

Kendrick told 'Captain's Corner' on Facebook that tentative plans were put in place to rebrand the duo, but it was Vince who said no. As gaffer, McMahon had final say - nobody on WWE's writing staff was able to sell him on the name despite the fact it was already on the pair's in-ring gear, had been mentioned on television and had also been the selling point for a major feature in WWE Magazine.

Vince wouldn't budge, so that was that.

Kendrick did also reveal that McMahon was concerned fans "wouldn't be able to tell which one is which" when the team "inevitably" split. That confused both wrestlers, because they'd still be individually referred to by their solo names during matches. Surely it wouldn't take a genius to figure out who was who?

Nonetheless, McMahon just didn't like the idea and refused to go any further with it. He genuinely thought that pro wrestling fans would struggle to name Kendrick and London once they went their separate ways.
