Vince Russo's 14 Undeserved WWE Hall Of Fame Snubs

11. Lex Luger

Lex Luger was first hired by Vince McMahon to represent his start up World Bodybuilding Federation. However, before that went anywhere, Luger got in a horrific motorcycle accident, and the WBF went down the tubes. From there Luger entered the Fed as a heel€”the €œNarcissist€€”under Bobby €œThe Brain€ Hennan. In 1993, with Hulk Hogan leaving the company, Vince McMahon then turned to €œMade in the USA€ Lex Luger to serve as the company€™s top babyface. Money was PUMPED into Lex in an attempt to make him the new €œHulkster€, but, the effort just fell short at the end perhaps because the fans weren€™t buying him the way Vince expected. Eight days after SummerSlam 95€™, Lex showed up LIVE on the first episode of WCW Nitro, to set the stage for the Monday Night Wars which were to follow. After his career, Lex endured some tragedies in his life, first losing his girlfriend, Liz Hulette (Miss Elizabeth), then suffering a spinal stroke which almost paralysed him for life. Why isn€™t Lex in the WWE HOF? This one of obvious. I don€™t think there is any love loss with Vince McMahon when you look at the eventful way that Lex chose to leave his company. However, regardless of how improperly Lex may have showcased his decision almost 20 years ago---it is STILL TWENTY YEARS AGO. I€™m a HUGE proponent of FORGIVE and FORGET. I believe that bygones should be bygones and Lex should be given his place in WWE history.
