Oli Sandler / The Ringside Perspective

If there was one thing Cody Rhodes wanted to be when becoming WCPW Internet Champ, it was a fighting champion. Taking on the best from around the globe appeals to Cody's old-school mentality, and he found one of the greatest independent stars you can get at Lights Out.

WCPW management have said it all along, each Internet Championship match will be aired for free on YouTube. Even though Cody's latest defence took place as part of the WhatCulture-exclusive Lights Out event, his match against the high-flying Ricochet is now available free of charge.

Ricochet may have his issues with Will Ospreay and The Swords Of Essex, but there was no way he was missing the chance to become WCPW Internet Champion.

For Rhodes, this match came hot on the heels of a successful defence against Zack Sabre Jr at KirbyMania. Adding to that, Cody had just flown in from Japan. Starring in a country Ricochet also knows very well, the champ had competed on NJPW's annual Wrestle Kingdom show.
