5. Martin Kirby Gets His WCPW Title Shot At Refuse To Lose

Oli Sandler / The Ringside Perspective

Unwilling to risk having Martin Kirby remain at ringside for the rest of the broadcast, General Manager Adam Pacitti decided it was time to give in. It's clear that Pacitti finds Kirby incredibly irritating, and it pained him to accept Kirby's pleas for a WCPW Title match, but it happened.

As Kirby stood handcuffed to Pacitti's ring, the GM sighed as he announced that Martin Kirby would face Joseph Conners on October 6 at Refuse To Lose for the WCPW Title. Suddenly, Kirby was in an even more jovial mood, like he couldn't believe that his oddball tactics had actually worked out.

Behind the scenes, Joseph Conners must have been looking on in disbelief. It cannot be argued that Kirby has earned a shot due to his in-ring work and supreme dedication, but the fact it took this kind of protest to coax a title opportunity out of management is pretty darn unique.

Nonetheless, regardless of his out-there way of securing it, Martin Kirby will get a crack at Joseph Conners on iPPV. The fans around ringside were delighted by this news, they - much like Kirby - have been given what they want.
