WCPW Loaded Episode 14: 10 Awesome Moments
7. El Ligero & Desperado Overcome Prince Ameen & Gabriel Kidd
During a backstage segment, Gabriel Kidd tried to reason with his master Prince Ameen. Stating his belief that the pair should put their differences aside and enter Adam Pacitti's tournament to crown the first ever WCPW Tag-Team Champions, Kidd put forward his case as he begrudgingly polished up Ameen's boots.
Seeing sense, the Prince relented and agreed to the match. Pacitti then put an unlikely duo together, teaming WCPW Internet Champion El Ligero up with the Japanese sensation Desperado. For his part, the Japanese star didn't look like he had any interest in teaming with Ligero, he quite clearly wants the title currently belonging to the 'Mexican Sensation'.
Despite being far from a well-oiled machine, Ligero and Desperado did pick up the win. As this was a warm-up match for Ameen and Kidd, they will still be permitted entrance into the WCPW Tag-Team Title tournament.
That said, Kidd's frustration with the man who owns his contract must be through the roof right now. If nothing else, this match showed what the youngster would be capable of if he wasn't fighting against Ameen's rule.
