Will this two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion be at AEW Revolution?

While his nWo Wolfpac buddy Kevin Nash will not be at AEW Revolution for Sting's retirement match, one person who may be at the Greensboro Coliseum is Lex Luger.

Of course, Sting and Luger have a huge amount of history together, with the pair having teamed on and off since 1988, plus having been heated rivalries at various points over the years. In fact, the first time Sting and Lex ever wrestled, that was for Luger's NWA United States Championship in 1987... from the Greensboro Coliseum.

When looking back at the Stinger's greatest rivals, Lex Luger is absolutely in the conversation with the likes of Ric Flair, Vader, and the Great Muta. As such, it would only be fitting for the Total Package to be in attendance for the final match of Sting's illustrious, legendary career.

Speaking on the latest edition of his Lex Expressed podcast (via WrestlingNews.co), Luger addressed the question of whether he'll be at AEW Revolution on Sunday 3 March.

As Lex put it:

“Let me put it this way. I will go back to 35 years of friendship. Friendship sometimes transcends the kayfabe or work up the other, and there may be ramifications or there may not. Sting was there for me at three in the morning when I had my motorcycle wreck and they wanted to cut my arm off, and [he] kind of stopped the doctors from cutting my arm off. So people could read into that what they want, on whether I might be at the building or not. I won’t confirm anything, but I’m just saying. I’ll leave it in that context.”

Whether Lex Luger does indeed end up attending AEW Revolution remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds as if there's a strong chance of that happening.

Elsewhere, Luger is also heavily speculated for a WWE Hall of Fame induction this year. While Lex is synonymous with WCW, Jim Crockett Promotions, and, to a lesser extent, Championship Wrestling from Florida, the New York native also spent a couple of years in the then-WWF between 1993 and 1995. That spell with the market leader is most notable for Luger coming up short in his quest to dethrone Yokozuna for the WWF Championship at both SummerSlam 1993 and WrestleMania X.

With his contract having expired, Lex Luger shocked the wrestling world by re-debuting for WCW on the first ever episode of Nitro in a move that nobody in the WWF was aware of until Luger walked out at the Mall of America while Sting took on Ric Flair.
