What Chris Jericho REALLY Thinks About Steve Austin's WWE Return
Jericho shoots on 'Stone Cold' wrestling for WWE again, Kevin Owens and more.
Chris Jericho has called Kevin Owens "the best guy for the job" when it comes to working with a returning Steve Austin.
The AEW star was a special guest on Kurt Angle's podcast, and he wasn't shy about putting his old WWE tag-team partner over - according to Jericho, KO's ability to mix it on the mic should be a big factor in Vince McMahon's plans.
He also reckons that'll appeal to 'Stone Cold' himself, because Owens can be both serious and comedic in the same segment. On comedy, Jericho said: "You can't do that with Roman Reigns". That's a fair point. KO's adaptability might make him perfect foil for Austin come WrestleMania 38.
The pair are currently pencilled in to work a 'KO Show' segment on the massive weekender. That, Jericho reckons, could lead to some matches down the road, but he knows who he doesn't want to see Steve work with.
Brock Lesnar.
Rather interestingly, Jericho said that Austin "doesn’t need to be getting dumped on his head", because "nobody wants to see that". Some fans would disagree with the idea that Austin vs. Lesnar is a no-goer; it's one that got away first time around.
