What Did Edge Say After WWE SmackDown Went Off The Air?

Latest on how Edge addressed the live Toronto crowd after WWE SmackDown.

Edge told the local live crowd last night that wrestling Sheamus in the main event was his last match in Toronto.

The 'Rated-R Superstar' cut an emotional figure following his headline win over a real-life pal, and he was cheered on by his family at ringside - Beth Phoenix and Edge's daughters were in the house to show support, but...what about those post-match comments?

Edge said he'd go home with his family, talk things over and see what everyone fancies doing. On Toronto, the Canadian added: "No matter where I make my main residence, this is always in my heart!". Some will surely read into that as "this" being WWE and "main residence" potentially being AEW too.

That's just how pro wrestling works, people. The rumour mill never stops!

Edge and his family deserved this moment in Toronto though. It's worth noting that Imperium emerged to corner him, but Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens made the save. Edge then returned the favour by butting in on a dark main event and helping the babyfaces win their six-man tag.

Nobody knows for sure what the future holds in store for Edge, but this post-match promo (which didn't air on SmackDown) suggested he isn't done quite yet.
