What They Did Next: WWE 2021 Releases - Part 2

7. Ari Sterling

In wrestling, there are those wrestlers for whom the rewind button was seemingly invented, if only so you can watch what they did again and try to figure out the moment they broke physics. Ari Sterling is one of those and his inside-to-out middle rope moonsault is best described as a thing of beauty. But Vince doesn't like smaller wrestlers, and many of the firings of the past few years seemed aimed at the complete demolition of the Cruiserweight division. Ari Sterling was also one of those guys. At least he got to get out while they still had a show to leave.

The purple-haired, spring-legged performer returned to his previous name of Alex Zayne on his release, and it seems that once again the acrobatic wrestler has landed on his feet with more finesse than most. "The Sauce" appeared at September's Death Before Dishonor XVIII, winning the Honor Rumble.

He's since made appearances for Ring Of Honor, Impact and New Japan Pro Wrestling where he put on an absolutely fantastic match with Will Ospreay that should definitely be considered a match-of-the-year candidate.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
