The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE taped both the men's and women's Money In The Bank ladder matches three weeks ago at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

According to sources, the company also planned that Apollo Crews' sudden push would act as a 'red herring' to take fans off the scent of AJ Styles. The 'Phenomenal One' made his grand return on Monday's episode of Raw and won a gauntlet to replace Crews and qualify for MITB.

The Observer noted that WWE filmed the card's remaining matches around the same time at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. That includes Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Title, Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt for the Universal belt, Bayley vs. Tamina for the SmackDown Women's Title and a big Fatal-4-Way for the SmackDown Tag gold.

Both ladder bouts, which started at HQ's reception and ended on the roof of the building, were taped well in advance. That won't stop the promotion from presenting Money In The Bank as a "live" pay-per-view this weekend.

WWE has done an amazing job keeping results quiet before Sunday's show airs.
