Which Surprising WWE Wrestler Did Brock Lesnar Want To Work With?

You'll never guess this one...

Brock Lesnar R-Truth

When one thinks of big-money matches WWE could book involving Brock Lesnar, 24/7 goof R-Truth doesn't exactly spring to mind, but that bout almost happened earlier this year.

That's not a joke, nor a lie. It's (rather fittingly) the truth.

R-Truth told talkSPORT that Brock was so impressed with their throwaway segment on the 13 January 2020 episode of Raw that he approached him backstage and said, 'Bro, we got to do something together'. That left Truth stunned, because he'd been worried about the in-ring confrontation beforehand.

Paul Heyman decided to play practical joker and try to rib Brock before the show. That's why a confused Truth never received any word from WWE about what he'd be saying during the segment - Heyman had asked them to make sure the comedy man was off-the-cuff, because he wanted Lesnar to corpse live on air.

This devious plan worked.

Brock found Truth hilarious, and couldn't stop laughing mid-ring even though he was supposed to play a super-serious heel before hitting his F5. Later, backstage, Lesnar told Truth, 'There’s something there. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something there".

Anyone else looking forward to Brock vs. R-Truth for the 24/7 Title at WrestleMania 37?
