Which Wrestlers Had WWE Tryouts This Week?
European indy stars show their stuff at the O2...
WWE's current tour of England has hosted tapings of Raw and Smackdown, as well as live shows featuring the company's UK division, but there was one more noteworthy event held at the O2 Arena this week - WWE tryouts hosted by William Regal, Steve Corino, and Matt Bloom and featuring some major names from the European indy scene.
Among the stars invited to the tryout were:
- WhatCulture Pro Wrestling's Martin Kirby was spotted, along with WCPW's Travis Banks and his partner Chris Brookes, who comprise the current Revolution Pro Wrestling Undisputed British Tag Team Championship tandem The Commonwealth Catch Kings.
- Jurn Simmons, the 25-year-old two-time and reigning Unified World Wrestling Champion of the Oberhausen, Germany-based Westside Xtreme Wrestling (a title previously held by Daniel Bryan, Zack Sabre Jr., and Aleister Black).
- Welsh PROGRESS star Flash Morgan Webster, who was defeated by Sabre last year in a qualifying match for WWE's Cruiserweight Classic.
- TK Cooper, a rising PROGRESS star who teamed with Banks in a loss to Mustafa Ali and Rich Swann at WrestleMania Axxess in Orlando.
- Christian "T-K-O" Tscherpel, German cruiserweight who was trained by former WCW star Alex Wright and competes for Wright's New European Championship Wrestling organization.
