Which WWE NXT Star Is Openly Struggling Without Fans?

"Not having fans there takes away a little bit of electricity".

NXT's Keith Lee told GameSpot that he's struggling to power through WWE's empty-arena shows at the Performance Center due to a lack of natural adrenaline.

The reigning NXT North American Champion said that he's personally discussed this topic with others inside the company and a few "athletic friends and associates" outside it recently. Lee is happy to admit he's finding it more difficult to get amped up for his matches than he would if fans were there adding energy to the presentation.

Big Keith went on to say that bumps "often hurt even more than usual" because he's not feeding off a live crowd and doesn't have anyone there to react to what's happening. That's refreshingly honest.

Lee told the site that he's tried to "explain to fans how much they mean to me", but isn't sure "if it gets across". His act relies heavily on audience participation, and he loves entertaining people. Since WWE were forced to run shows at the PC, Keith hasn't had that same buzz.

His latest match was a successful North American Title defence against Damian Priest on the latest NXT episode.
