Pat McAfee recently revealed on an episode of the 'Notsam Podcast' that he paid tribute to fallen great Owen Hart at NXT TakeOver XXX.

Owen was just one of the legends Pat paid homage to.

His Swanton Bomb was very Jeff Hardy, and McAfee claims he also tried to throw his punches like The Rock whenever he blasted Adam Cole with haymakers. Then, when Pat had Cole down in the corner, he tried to 'stomp a mud hole' in the brand fave's chest like his hero Steve Austin.

Fans may have spotted most of those tributes, but one was easily missed.

Watch the match back and you'll see McAfee perform a sweet-looking back flip out of the corner to evade Cole's attacks. That was something he was determined to get in there, because Pat thinks it's a spot that has oddly disappeared from modern pro wrestling.

Plus, it let him mimic Hart to the best of his abilities.

McAfee admitted that he wasn't exactly original during his first WWE match. Who cares? He impressed the hell out of everyone with his work ethic and energy. That was one hell of a debut.

Owen would be proud.
