Former NXT Champion Aleister Black recently requested to be moved back to the black and gold brand, according to WrestleVotes.
With Black's partner Zelina Vega being released from WWE in the last 24 hours, it's clear that the former SmackDown star was anything but happy towards the end of her WWE run. Her sudden release comes after she was very vocal about being against WWE's new edict which forbids their stars from streaming on Twitch independently.
Now, it appears that Vega's husband is also less than satisfied with his current situation in the company, with the former black and gold sensation reportedly requesting to return home to NXT in recent times. However, WrestleVotes are reporting that Black's request was turned down by those in charge. In terms of the Vega release, it was also noted that it would be an understatement to say there was frustration from both sides.
Since moving to SmackDown in the 2020 Draft, Black is yet to wrestle on the blue show and his recent angle with Kevin Owens appears to have been dropped without explanation. Though news of Black's apparent frustration on the main roster hasn't been directly linked to Zega's departure, it seems the pair would both rather be elsewhere at this current moment.
