Who Inspired Kenny Omega's Wild New Facial Hair?

No, it wasn't Triple H...

Last week's episode of AEW Dynamite saw Kenny Omega draw attention not only for a superb promo on the AEW World Championship and Hangman Page, but also his outlandish new mutton chops.

The AEW Champion's new look drew immediate comparisons to Triple H, Motorhead frontman Lemmy, and more, but per the Canadian himself, the inspiration actually comes from elsewhere.

In shaving his beard into chops, Omega was looking to invoke the spirit of the late, great Harley Race:-

Triple H was an easy comparison for many, given that the WWE COO's NXT brand just spent 18 months going head-to-head with AEW Dynamite on Wednesday nights, though 'The Game' apparently wasn't a source of inspiration.

Omega and Page appear to be gearing up for an AEW Title programme following last week's Dynamite. The Dark Order confronted Kenny on their ally's behalf, putting him forward as a potential contender, though Omega refused to even say his former tag team partner's name in response.

An irritated Page accosted The Dark Order later in the evening, as they had seemingly hit the ring against his will. Hangman is currently number one in the AEW men's singles rankings.
