AEW Dynamite scored one last victory over WWE NXT as the Wednesday Night Wars concluded this week, once again finishing above the black and gold brand in the night's cable rankings.

Despite presenting a loaded TakeOver: Stand & Deliver card headlined by a proven quarter-hour ratings draw in Io Shirai, NXT couldn't outdo AEW in the all-important 18-49 demographic, despite increasing to a 0.22 rating from the previous week's 0.21.

Dynamite was up too, going from 0.26 on 31 March to 0.28 on 7 April. AEW finished fifth for the night amongst cable shows while NXT was sat in 11th.

NXT did, however, outdo Dynamite in overall viewership, doing so for the first time since October 2020. The WWE show increased from the previous week's 654,000 to 768,000 while Dynamite fell from 700,000 to 688,000.

It should be noted that the NXT numbers were likely impacted by Peacock, which aired a TakeOver simulcast without ad breaks.

NXT moves to Tuesday nights from next week. Though the WWE property succeeded in its key goal of hindering AEW's growth and putting a dent in Dynamite's weekly ratings, it quickly developed a chronic losing habit in the Wednesday Night Wars, having last outdone AEW on 18 December 2019.
