Why Lana Hasn't Been On WWE Television Lately

Lana's Super ShowDown 2020 appearance could be her last for a while.

Lana has been taken off WWE television and looks set to miss the next few weeks as she films a new movie with Bruce Willis.

This is according to a new report from Dave Meltzer in this week's edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which adds that this is the same reason for Bobby Lashley's absence from Raw. Interestingly, Rusev was backstage at Raw this week, though the promotion opted not to use him. 'The Bulgarian Brute' is either locked in contract talks with the company or suffering from a back injury at the moment, depending on who you believe.

Lana's last appearance was at Super ShowDown 2020, where she appeared briefly at the top of the ramp, clad in all the clothes in the world as Lashley walked down for the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match. She didn't accompany her kayfabe husband to the ring and went straight to the back as Bobby left the stage.

With Liv Morgan moving on to work with former Riott Squad buddies Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott and the Lashley/Rusev drama seemingly over, Lana finds herself without a storyline at the moment. Perhaps WWE will come up with something new when she returns.
