Why Reginald Missed WWE WrestleMania 37

Here's why there was no sign of the sommelier at 'Mania 37.

Reginald Thomas
WWE

Conspicuous by his absence at WWE WrestleMania 37 was Reginald Thomas, who has been tethered to Women's Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler in recent weeks.

Jax and Baszler put their belts on the line against Tamina and Natalya on 'Mania's second night. There was no sign of Reggie, whose absence was pointed out by NXT's Amale on Twitter:-

Reginald quickly responded with "malade," which translates to "sick" in English:-

Reginald was also absent from this week's episode of Raw, on which Jax and Baszler battled with Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose. There's currently no word on when he is expected to return to television.

Last week's go-home episode of SmackDown was his last televised WWE appearance.

A WWE recruit since January 2020, when he began training at the Performance Center, Thomas previously worked as Akeem Young before being brought up to the main roster as Carmella's sommelier. He's a former Cirque du Soleil performer whose incredible agility has been utilised multiple times on WWE television, most notably when positioned opposite Sasha Banks as part of the now-former SmackDown Women's Champion's feud with Carmella.

All to best to Reginald in his recovery.
