Why Sasha Banks Vs Bayley Means So Much To So Many

WWE's last chance to finally finish what NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn started.

Braun Strowman ostensibly drowning in Bray Wyatt's swamp was far from the most offensive slab of sh*t from the legendarily awful Horror Show At Extreme Rules pay-per-view. MVP becoming United States Champion just because he said so took the piss out of why we all watch this (while WWE took the piss out of the potentially serious situation that caused it), but something wickeder this way came. And that's not including Eye For An Eye's reported CGI trickery resulting in the billion dollar company dipping ping pong balls in jam for their special effects.

No, the worst moment on a show that should be donated to science as baseline test for bad wrestling moments was the finish to the otherwise-outstanding Asuka/Sasha Banks Raw Women's Title match.

The aforementioned acts of silliness were sh*t on their own terms, but they were fatally flawed from the very beginning. 'The Boss' and 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' were in the process of living up to extremely high expectations when a hideous conclusion poured water over embers threatening to burn so brightly that they might have saved the entire show.

WWE booked Halloween in July, but there was something or someone far more sinister than a normal horror show villain at work here. This was the act of a real one, and the panic over his confirmed arrival has been prevalent for months.
