Current NXT Champion Adam Cole sat down with Sport Bible and told the site he's surprised that he and his Undisputed Era cohorts are doing so well in WWE.

That surprise isn't born from a lack of confidence. Cole said he actually always had supreme confidence in each member's individual abilities, but wasn't sure if they'd gel or make a good faction. Now, he's pleased to report that he believes the Era are "one of the best factions in WWE".

It's difficult to argue with that.

Cole said the group just needed one chance to show their employers what they were capable of, and they got it. Still, he never expected that they'd become such a focal point on NXT or that the Undisputed Era gig would be the most fun thing he's ever done in pro wrestling.

The NXT Champ made a great point when he said that four solid performers who just so happen to be best friends away from the ring is "one in a million" stuff. That friendship has helped the Era blossom, because there's no real ego in the group.
