Why This Epic WWE WrestleMania 37 Spot Didn't Happen

It's now been revealed exactly why Kevin Owens wasn't able to dive off the pirate ship at WrestleMania 37.

According to Fightful Select, the insane bump was at one point considered for this year's Show of Shows. However, the fact that Owens' match against old pal/enemy Sami Zayn wasn't given a no disqualification stipulation was ultimately a hurdle too high to overcome when it came to justifying the spot.

On top of this, the ship being a lot larger than first expected and the infamous thunderstorms that delayed and seriously affected both nights of 'Mania 37 didn't help the spot's chances of coming to fruition either.

The former Universal Champion had been teasing a potential dive from the ship for the last year, promising his fans in February that he was "going to try as much as possible to do it", and even hinting just a few days out from the event that the spot was still on the cards.

Despite this 'Mania Moment not working out in the end, Owens still found himself battling against his long-time rival and best pal Zayn on the Grandest Stage, delivering a Stunner to Logan Paul just for good measure, too.
