Why Vince McMahon Has Erased Triple H's Legacy

What we know about Triple H's "cardiac event" is, fundamentally, all we need to.

We know all the details doled out from the official statements from all the official people, and as the plebs rightfully on the outside of a public figure's private life, that's all we're entitled to. As WWE put it on Twitter;

"Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery."

The most important news coming at the end there, but relief all the same. It's a bit strange that this was pretty much the full extent of the report (we all saw Triple H's bruised t*tty after Saudi Arabia and wrestling fans collectively know more about torn quads than a full compliment of first year medical students thanks to his exhausting rehab vignettes), but we can all go on living our lives without hospital selfies or Hunter doing the belt point picture with his successful surgeons.

What's most interesting and curiously convenient is the timing. This update was shared on September 8th, just under a week before the big NXT relaunch, and nothing since leads one to believe that full recovery is still ongoing. But what happens when, hopefully, it's completed?

What can the 'King Of Kings' (sigh) possibly think of any of this? The letters he once sold tickets, t-shirts and an ethos with? The energy he'd ever so briefly rediscovered from disenfranchised WWE lifers, thanks to careful and cautious but typically rewarding booking? The talent he'd enjoyed pushing and promoting?

Remember them? Pepperidge Vince doesn't.
