Why WWE 'Blacked Out' The Screen At Money In The Bank 2021

WWE received a bit of backlash for Charlotte Flair's unplanned moment at Money In The Bank.

That's Charlotte Flair giving fans the middle finger as they chanted for Becky Lynch at last night's Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

WWE briefly 'blacked out' the picture so that Flair's unplanned defiance wasn't shown. Or, at least, that's what they tried to do - viewers watching the live feed on Peacock were still able to see Charlotte giving Texas a big 'f*ck you' for bellowing, "We Want Becky" over and over again.

It's worth noting that Lynch was backstage during the show. She didn't appear on camera, but it's surely only a matter of time before Bex is back on TV and in the mix for titles herself. Who knows if WWE want to reignite her long-standing rivalry with Flair though.

The company received a bit of backlash for attempting to block Charlotte's finger at all. Some fans felt like it was totally unnecessary, whereas others didn't care for the way Fort Worth's crowd dumped all over Flair's match with Rhea Ripley before it really got going.

Charlotte ended up beating Ripley to secure her fifth Raw Women's Title. That's her 13th singles belt overall.
