Why WWE Didn't Draft Bron Breakker
An update on freshly-turned NXT heel Bron Breakker and his WWE future.

Conspicuous by his absence in the recent WWE Draft was Bron Breakker, who had been heavily linked with a main roster call-up from NXT to Raw or SmackDown - though it sounds like the promotion had good reason to leave him out.
Per WRKD Wrestling, WWE left Breakker undrafted, scrapping tentative call-up plans, because company officials are happy with his new heel persona in NXT. Thus, the promotion opted to leave him in developmental "to better cultivate his character." Post-SummerSlam now looks likelier for a Raw or SmackDown move.
The outlet stated:-
Regarding Bron Breakker going undrafted; we've heard there were tentative plans to draft Bron to the main roster, but officials are so impressed w/ his heel persona, he remained in NXT to better cultivate his character.

NXT Champion for 362 days prior to NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 (1 April), Breakker had suffered from increasingly sour crowd reactions leading up to the event. He then lost the NXT Championship to Carmelo Hayes at the supershow, where he was a clear second choice in the audience's eyes, with the live crowd echoing the Performance Center faithful in being firmly behind Hayes.
Breakker has since turned into a full-on wrecking ball heel on Tuesday nights, continuing his rivalry with Hayes. This week's NXT saw Breakker defeat Carmelo's partner, Trick Williams, in around six minutes.
