Why WWE Must Avoid THIS Huge Mistake Ahead Of WrestleMania 39

2. Rey Mysterio, WWE Hall Of Famer

Having established why the WWE Hall of Fame is such a big deal, and how so many HOF inductees legitimately helped to change and shape the wrestling industry, there are few names as worthy of a spot in any Hall of Fame as Rey Mysterio.

Of course, the Master of the 619 has now been confirmed to be entering the Hall of Fame as part of the 2023 class.

At 48 years of age, it's absolutely baffling to realise that Rey is currently in his 34th year as a professional wrestler. Considering the high-risk, high-impact style of Mysterio, it's genuinely amazing that he's been able to do what he does at such an elite level and for such extraordinary amount of time.

A generational talent, a game-changer, a trail-blazer, a revolutionary, a role model, an inspiration, an innovator, an unmeasurable underdog and mammoth overachiever in a world so often dominated by giants. Whatever way you choose to attempt to define Rey Mysterio, he's simply one of the most important wrestlers of all time.

There are not enough superlatives to throw Mysterio's way when reflecting back on his career and the stamp he has put on the wrestling business.

While some may take mild umbrage with WWE inducting a currently active superstar, getting to give Rey Mysterio his proverbial flowers and celebrate his impact on the business should be fantastic to see.

Well, that is so long as WWE doesn't make a huge mistake at this year's Hall of Fame ceremony...
