Daniel Bryan preferred losing to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35 over winning five years earlier at 'Mania XXX.

The SmackDown star revealed via the 'My Mom's Basement' podcast that he didn't mind dropping the WWE Title to Kofi Kingston back in 2019. In fact, he was delighted to watch everybody flock over to Kofi backstage when both returned back behind the curtain.

That meant D-Bry could focus on catching up with his family and basking in the afterglow of a job well done on WWE's biggest stage. He didn't really get to do that in 2014. Bryan suffered through "horrible pain" in his shoulder, neck and arm during a Triple Threat headliner against Batista and Randy Orton.

Then, he was the centre of attention backstage. Then, the weary new champ had to haul ass out of bed early the next morning to do media. Come 35, that was Kofi's responsibility, and Dan kinda' liked that.

Of course, he also enjoyed seeing Kingston prosper after so many near misses at the top of the card. Bryan definitely liked that he got to relax after 'Mania the most though.
