Why You Must Read This Wrestling Article
If a troll says something to the effect of "AEW is a money mark outlaw mud show that relies on ex-WWE guys", it is demonstrably stupid. Don't engage with this person. Don't mention that Vince McMahon was able to become a wrestling promoter for the exact same reason Tony Khan was, or that Hangman Page, Sammy Guevara, Dr. Britt Baker, Jade Cargill and Jurassic Express are the current reigning champions.
These are obvious points to make. The trolls either want you to make them to grab attention, or the promotion loyalist has said it because they are brainwashed beyond reason and wish to protect an identity warped by their chosen pop culture escape.
If nothing else, removing these people from your life by ignoring them is probably the empathetic thing to do. If you're a successful or otherwise content human being, you don't log on to make people feel miserable. It's time to subvert the old social media adage. It's often said that the person lurking behind a keyboard and spouting abuse would never say these things to another person in real life. Would you punch down on a miserable human being starved of attention and fulfilment in real life?
Hopefully, the answer is no.
You have the ability to curate your own social media experience. Use it. Block people with terrible opinions or attitudes.
The 50/50 booking of online wrestling fandom is even worse than it is in the Fed, and if that line betrays the point of getting away from antagonism...just ignore it.
It's the easiest thing in the world.
