Will Ospreay has spectacularly responded to CM Punk's musing on a potential match between the pair, suggesting the two make it a reality in a bid to help the industry recover from the economic impact of the dark circumstances currently engulfing the world.

Punk was speaking with Cody Decker about who could possibly tempt him back into the ring on Radio.com's Swings & Mrs. show. After citing Daniel Bryan, John Cena and Rey Mysterio, the 'Voice of the Voiceless' dropped Ospreay's name as a man whose ideas he would listen to. He went on to say that the decision doesn't rest with him, but it's down to the companies involved.

Ospreay, alerted to Punk's comments, responded via Twitter:

"Just an idea & because we could all use something to focus on to get us through this hard time right now. Save January 4th & get some reps in. Help the business move forward instead of being a “spoke on the wheel” This might be click bait. But a Great White just bit.

In other words: let's make this a reality - at next year's Wrestle Kingdom.

Obviously, if this happened, it'd be beyond incredible - and just the stimulus the business needs after a troubled time.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
