Will Shaquille O'Neal Face Big Show At WWE WrestleMania 28?
The Shaq says he will, WWE say he won't....
Update: Since our original story, Shaquille O'Neal made an appearance on ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning Wednesday and said he would be competing at WrestleMania 28. So who knows what to believe? Original story follows... Despite news and reports that have been floating around dirt sheets for a while now, Shaquille ONeal will not be taking on The Big Show at the grandest stage of them all in a celebrity vs wrestler match at WWE WrestleMania 28. Rumors began after Shaq himself said he would be attendance for Wrestlemania whilst speaking with Hollywoodlife.com, and since then the speculation has been that the two sporting giants would be facing off in the ring. This wouldnt be the first time Big Show has faced off against a guest attraction at Mania with previous bouts against sumo Akebono and boxer Floyd Mayweather who reportedly pursed at staggering $20,000,000 for his appearance. On recent episodes of Smackdown The Big Shows poor Wrestlemania win/loss record has been highlighted and it has to be believed that if Show did take on Shaq at Mania, it would once again be the non-wrestler making a larger than life fool of the worlds largest athlete. It may be that ONeal was to face Big Show, but like Mickey Rourkes Mania match with Jericho a few years back, a news leak may have led to this being nixed, and at this stage a CM Punk vs Chris Brown celebrity match seems more likely. More details to come as this story develops.
