Sting is set to appear on tonight's WWE Raw, according to a report at PWInsider. The report states that the WCW Icon was originally scheduled to return home after Night Of Champions, but plans have changed and he's now scheduled for tonight's Raw in Laredo, Texas. One rumour is that WWE will give Sting time to address the injury he suffered at Night Of Champions and make a retirement speech. The injury is said to be a significant neck injury, and at age 56, Sting could be considering calling his in-ring career a day. The injury and the sudden change of plans on him being at Raw are certainly causing speculation that something big is coming. On the other hand, if the injury isn't as bad as feared, then perhaps he'll be used tonight in an angle that writes him off television until WrestleMania season. If Sting's in-ring career is done, it is a shame that it had to end with two losses in the WWE. So much of his legacy was as a mega star in WCW, and many of today's younger audience won't grasp just how important Sting has been to the pro wrestling industry. The way WWE has booked him and represented him has been a failure, albeit the WrestleMania match with Triple H was good until the finish.
