Will This AEW Wrestler "Make History" As World Champion?

It could be time for Tony Khan to give this AEW star the mega push some fans crave.

Keith Lee wants to make history by becoming the first black AEW World Champion since All Elite launched several years ago.

The AEW star told The Ringer's 'Masked Man' Show that he's "really good at making history". Lee believes he can establish himself as a World Title contender soon, then go on to lift the big belt. The wrestler went on to say that he's "more than capable of carrying [himself] in a way that would be befitting and beneficial to a company".

It's no secret that things...didn't exactly take off for Keith when he joined AEW in February 2022. His WWE departure came at the end of a miserable run under Vince McMahon on the main roster, but hopes were high that Tony Khan would push him as a top star.

Instead, All Elite bosses stuck Lee in the tag-team division - he's only just breaking free from that shell, and now looks destined for better things as a solo artist. Will that include winning the AEW World Title someday? Keith certainly has faith.

The athletic big man says he wants to set "different standards in terms of what’s acceptable in this gross, societal industry".
