New AEW signing William Regal has denied reports from Wrestling Observer chief Dave Meltzer that his health is poor.

Regal posted a quick message on his official Twitter page to allay fears about a "serious" health concern. The gent tweeted that he is "healthier than [he] has been in many years", and said this is why he "stays out of the rumour mill and gossip".

According to William, recent comments about poor health were taken completely out of context - he says he was talking to "someone" about a situation that had happened to him back in 2018. To Regal's horror (but probably not his surprise), the wrestling world warped that story and never looked back.

The AEW newcomer has acted quickly to put fan minds at rest and assure everyone that there's nothing to worry about. So, it appears reports about fading health were a false alarm after all. There was no nod towards anything serious during Regal's in-ring promo on this past Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

There, he told people that he wasn't "long for this world". That, rather understandably, had folks worried.
