With John Cena Injured, How Will The Landscape Of The WWE Change?

4. Triple H's In-Ring Involvement - Survivor Series And Beyond

Most WWE fans know that Triple H's time as an in-ring competitor is slowly winding down. As I have previously mentioned, it seems as though Vince McMahon is settling down for good, and allowing Triple H to play the big, bad boss of the company. Triple H's involvement in such a way may indeed be the way things go forward, but does The King of King's have more to give before he throws in the towel and retires? In my honest opinion, Triple H as an authority figure works, plain and simple. He has brilliant mic skills, and has what Vince lacked in his days torturing Stone Cole Steve Austin: the in-ring ability. Triple H may be pushing 45, but he has proven earlier this year that he can still lock horns with the best in the business. His showdown with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29 was an impressive No Holds Barred contest, as was the rubber match a month later at Extreme Rules. My money is on at least two more matches for The Game in the upcoming months, with Survivor Series and WrestleMania being the standout opportunities. His recent isolation of The Big Show could prove worthy of a match at Survivor Series, but his involvement in The Corporation could see a Team Corporate vs. Team WWE elimination tag-team match, with Triple H fronting the corporate outfit. As for WrestleMania, WWE fans who follow the rumour mill will have noticed talk of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Goldberg making a possible return to the company. Also, Sting, who has never wrestled under the WWE banner in his entire career, is yet another candidate rumoured to be in talks with the company. Place Triple H in the ring with any of these men and we're bound to see a classic at the 30th anniversary of WrestleMania. Both #4 and #5 examine the impact that The Corporation may have on the landscape of the WWE, so how do the other major feuds and championships fit in?
