Women's Wrestlers With The Most World Titles (Across All Major Promotions)
18. Lola González (6)
4 UWA World Women's Championships
2 Mexican National Women's Championships
AJW was the gold standard for women's wrestling in the 80s and 90s, and many main eventers of the company throughout that time belong in the GOAT conversation (Manami Toyota, Aja Kong, The Beauty Pair, The Crush Gals, Mayumi Ozaki etc.) As illustrated by the video above, Lola González could absolutely hold her own against the likes of them, and shouldn't be left out of that conversation.
Nicknamed "La Dinamita" for her fast-paced, explosive style, González has enjoyed success everywhere across Mexico. She's wrestled for UWA (winning their title four times), CMLL (with memorable matches against Lioness Asuka at their 63th (see video) and 64th Anniversary shows) and AAA (featuring in the opening match of the inaugural Triplemanía in 1993).
Undoubtedly one of the best women's wrestlers and acclaimed técnicas from '75 to '95, she also had incursions in North America, wrestling Irma González (more on her later) at the Fritz Von Erich Retirement Show in 1982, and in Europe, defending her WWA Women's Championship against Canadian legend Rhonda Sing in Hungary in 1991.
