Your average wrestling fan (that is to say, not a child) felt nothing but airless disappointment, a feeling of "meh" when WrestleMania went off the air. By now your average, jaded, 30-year-old wrestling fan has come to expect nothing but steroid-pumped big boys being pushed ahead of technical powerhouses, and even though these veteran fans keep their expectations in check, you still hope that the biggest event of the year might serve up some satisfying results.

Instead, the show played out like it was booked by aliens experiencing wrestling for the first time, and as such we all ended up feeling like poor Dewey. It goes back to that "getting punched at your own birthday party" analogy.
