WrestleMania 33: 10 Matches That Should Have Happened

4. Kevin Owens Vs Chris Jericho (Universal Title)

There is little to pick fault with from the outstanding months-long build to the match between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 33, but if anything could have accentuated the bout, it would have bee Owens' beloved Universal Title.

Their entire friendship had been selfishly perpetuated by 'KO', as he used and abused Jericho's nature to hold on to the title, with his eventual turn coming when Triple H seemed to imply 'Y2J' was surplus to requirements on 'The Kevin Owens Show'.

From a storyline point of view, had the 'prize fighter' have held on to his title, Jericho could attempt ultimate revenge in by attempting to take his former ally's title on the grandest stage.

In real terms, the conflict is arguably the best-booked on the whole show, and thus feels more deserving of top-line billing ahead of the admittedly star-laden clash in its place.

An Owens victory against Jericho for the title would truly cement him as dominant champion coming out of the 'Show of Shows', having brutally extracted everything from the kinship and left the downtrodden challenger with nothing. As it stands, he looks set to take the United States Title, but that victory will ironically supplant him firmly back in Raw's midcard.
