WrestleMania 33: 13 Early Match Predictions

10. Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn

At some point the company will have to move on from Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn, which means both of them are going to need new opponents. Despite WWE not giving Zayn a lot of time on the mic so far, he should be able to get over in time if given the opportunity. Every company he€™s been in, he€™s become a fan favorite, and the main roster should be no exception.

Zayn works best as an underdog character, with a bigger, meaner wrestler picking on him, until the bully finally gets theirs. Randy Orton would work well in the role of someone who antagonizes the €œrookie€ and wants to humiliate him at WrestleMania. Few on the roster portray an a**hole better than him.

The match would likely be great, and give Zayn a rub by appearing in a match with the popular veteran. Management seems to be understanding that Orton is past the point of seriously being considered to be built around, and due to his repeated injuries it€™s doubtful they€™ll ever rely on him again for a lengthy title run. This makes working with a fresh face one of the best options for him. Sami still has a ton of upside potential, and picking up a clean win over The Legend Killer could make him a top guy immediately.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
