With the recent news that WrestleMania 36 will now emanate from several different locations over two nights, there’s an update on which matches may be filmed away from the WWE Performance Center.

If you remember, we now know that this year’s Showcase of the Immortals will take place across several closed set locales where only essential staff and personnel will be required. Now, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, it looks like it will be the event’s gimmick matches which will be shot away from the Performance Center.

It’s yet to be revealed just exactly where these other locations and venues will be, but the Observer believes that all non-gimmick contests with be held at the PC, while the rest of the card will be in these to-be-revealed other venues.

At this stage, the only straight-up gimmick match confirmed for WrestleMania 36 is Edge vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing contest. Many are expecting that The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles could well have a stipulation or ‘gimmick’ added to it, as could several other matches by the time the weekend of April 4 and 5 rolls around.

The initial plan for the 2020 edition of the Granddaddy of Them All was for a whopping 16 matches to take place. Right now, there’s only eight matches confirmed as WWE has to do its best to adjust to the ongoing chaos across the globe – to the point where it’s still highly doubtful whether WrestleMania 36 will even take place as planned during the first weekend of April.
