WrestleMania 42 Booking Update: Backstage Latest On Two-Night Card (WWE News)

Fans of WWE's women's division across Raw and SmackDown will be thrilled with this news.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that next month's WrestleMania 42 weekender in Las Vegas could feature as many as 6 women's division matches spread across both nights. Thus far, Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship and Jade Cargill defending her Women's Title vs. Rhea Ripley have been announced for the bumper PLE, but more are on the way.

According to sources, as many as 5 of the 6 expected bouts "are pretty firmly planned". That's exciting news for those worried following reports that Triple H won't let any of the women headline either night in Vegas. A fan comment underneath Fightful's post did suggest that Hunter will point to the number of divisional matches across 'Mania weekend if he's asked why none of them headlined the Saturday or Sunday.

That's possible.

Currently, there's no word on exactly who else would be involved, but it'd make sense if the Women's Tag-Team Titles were on the line come 18-19 April. Nia Jax and Lash legend recently beat Ripley and IYO SKY to bag those belts on the 27 February edition of SmackDown - that frees Rhea up for the aforementioned match with Jade, but it does raise questions about where SKY will land come 'Mania.

Of course, WWE also has both the Women's Intercontinental and United States straps to play around with too. AJ Lee beat Becky Lynch to win the IC at Elimination Chamber, and Giulia is the current reigning US Champ over on SmackDown.

Things are about to heat up for the women's division at a key time, if nothing else.
